Hosting and Server Protocols
This website is hosted on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. We have a data processing agreement with Hetzner in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR.
Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically logs the following information: IP address, date and time, URL accessed, amount of data transferred, status code, the previously visited page, as well as the browser and operating system. We need this information to deliver the website, identify malfunctions, and defend against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The logs are deleted after 14 days.
Protection Against Attacks
To protect the website, we use the security tool Wordfence (Defiant Inc., 1700 Westlake Ave N, Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98109, USA). It checks access attempts for attack patterns and logs IP addresses in the process, particularly during login attempts and blocked access attempts. The scanning takes place on our server; only signatures of known attacks and blocked addresses are sent to the provider. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in the security of the website, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Cookies
We use only technically necessary cookies, such as those for language selection and form security, in accordance with Section 25(2) of the TDDDG. We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics purposes.
Reach Measurement with Plausible
We use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia) to see which pages are visited and how often. Plausible does not set cookies, does not store anything on your device, and does not recognize you across multiple days or across multiple websites. Your IP address is processed only briefly to generate a daily value—along with other information—that cannot be traced back to you, and it is not stored. The data is stored on servers in the European Union.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in analyzing our website in a data-minimal manner, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We have a contract with Plausible for data processing on our behalf.
Protecting Forms from Automated Data Entry
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). The service uses technical characteristics of your browser to verify that a human is filling out the form—without puzzles or cookies. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, and data processing is governed by a contractual agreement. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing spam and misuse of the forms, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Translation using Weglot
We generate the foreign-language versions of this website using Weglot (Weglot SAS, 7 Cité Paradis, 75010 Paris, France). To do this, your browser loads a script from the provider, which transmits your IP address. The content of our pages is translated, not any information you provide. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in offering the website in multiple languages, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We have a contract with Weglot for data processing on our behalf.
Fonts and External Content
Fonts are hosted on our own server. We do not embed videos or maps from third-party providers on this website. Links to our LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube channels are simple links; clicking on them will take you away from our website.
Contact forms
If you contact us via a form, we will process the information you enter there in order to address your inquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR if the matter involves a contract or an offer; otherwise, it is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
We receive your message via email through our hosting provider's mail server.
We will delete your information as soon as your request has been processed, unless required by law to retain it or unless we need it to fulfill a contract or for legal defense. Retention ends no later than the expiration of the statutory retention periods or the statute of limitations for any potential claims. We do not share your information with third parties.
Newsletter
Content: Our newsletter provides information about MEBIKON's media technology, products, and promotions. We send it only with your consent or based on a legal authorization.
Registration: All you need to register is your email address. Additional information is optional and is used to address you personally. Registration follows a double opt-in process: You will receive an email in which you must confirm your registration to ensure that no one can register using someone else’s email address. We log the time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address, to be able to verify your consent.
Registration Form: The registration forms on this website are provided by rapidmail GmbH, Wentzingerstraße 21, 79106 Freiburg, on our behalf. To do this, your browser loads a script from the provider. rapidmail is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes or to disclose it to third parties. A data processing agreement is in place.
Distribution: We send the newsletter via Mailchimp, a service provided by Intuit Inc., 2700 Coast Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Your email address and other registration information are stored on Mailchimp’s servers in the U.S. and processed on our behalf. Mailchimp does not use the data to contact you directly and does not share it with third parties. The basis for this data transfer is the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, supplemented by a data processing agreement containing standard contractual clauses.
Analysis: The newsletter contains a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from a Mailchimp server when the newsletter is opened. This process collects technical information about your browser and system, your IP address, and the time of access. We can see whether a newsletter has been opened and which links were clicked. We do not use this information to monitor individuals, but rather to determine which content is being read.
Legal Basis and Unsubscription: The legal basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR in conjunction with Section 7(2)(2) of the UWG, and for logging your registration, our legitimate interest in providing proof, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time; the easiest way to do so is via the link at the end of each newsletter. This will also terminate the data analysis.
When You Become a Customer
If you place an order with us, we will process your data to the extent necessary for the fulfillment of the order, order processing, and subsequent warranty service, in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. To this end, it may be necessary to share data with companies we engage to handle these processes, such as shipping companies.
If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of a product or service, we may use it to inform you about our own similar products, pursuant to Section 7(3) of the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG). You may object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs charged according to the standard rates.
Furthermore, we do not share your data with third parties unless we are required to do so by law or by a court order.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 of the GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), to have it erased (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), and to data portability (Art. 20). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with future effect (Art. 7(3)).
Right to Object: To the extent that we process data based on our legitimate interest, you may object to such processing at any time for reasons related to your particular situation. You may object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time without providing a reason (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
