We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the legal provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Telemedia Act (TMG), the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data protection regulations are observed. Compliance with applicable data protection law is subject to constant review by our data protection officer.

Personal Data / Subject of Data Protection
The subject of data protection is personal data. According to § 3 Para. 1 BDSG, this refers to individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or definable natural person. This includes, for example, information such as name, postal address, email address or telephone number, but possibly also usage data such as your IP address.
Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties / Scope of Data Collection and Storage
When you place an order with us, we collect and store your personal data only to the extent necessary for the execution of the order or the performance of the contract, order processing, and subsequent warranty and guarantee processing. This may require the transfer of your personal data to companies that we use to provide services or to process the contract. These include, for example, transport companies or other service providers.
If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of goods, we will use the email address to advertise our own, similar products. You can object to any advertising use at any time.
Beyond this, we generally do not pass on your data to third parties. All persons at Degen who work with your data are bound by the legal regulations. However, if we are legally obliged to do so or by court order, we will pass on your data to bodies authorized to receive information.
Right of Objection to Data Use
If we have stored personal data about you, you can object to the use of your data at any time as a data subject in accordance with the Bavarian Data Protection Act (Art. 17 BayDSG). In addition, under certain conditions, you have the right to correct, block and delete the data stored by us. You have the right to obtain information about your data stored by us and the purpose of the storage at any time.
Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager / Web Analysis
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The IP address used when visiting the website is only stored in anonymized form (via a non-reversible shortening of the IP address). A person-specific tracing is therefore generally no longer possible.
The collection, processing and use of data by Google is based on a written agreement between DEGEN GmbH & Co. KG and Google in compliance with the requirements of § 11 BDSG. You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookies of Google Analytics and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. In addition, you can object to the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. This will set an opt-out cookie that prevents the collection of data by Google Analytics on future visits to this website. Disable Google Analytics
For more information about privacy and Google Analytics, please see the Google Privacy Policy:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
We also use the Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed. The Google Tag Manager only sets up tags – tags are code that is used to measure visitor traffic and behavior. The tags come from other services – in our case from Google Analytics (see above). The Google Tag Manager only manages these tags, no cookies are set and no personal data is collected. If tracking has been disabled, this also applies to all tracking tags managed with the Google Tag Manager.
Web Analysis
You can visit our site without providing any personal information. When you visit our websites, certain data is still collected and stored. Without your separate consent, we only store access data without personal reference, such as:
– the website from which you visit us
– the name of your Internet service provider
– the name of the requested file
This data is evaluated to improve our offer and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.
The data is only evaluated in anonymous form (e.g.: Information xy was accessed by 45% of the visitors to the page). This enables us to tailor our information offerings to the interests of the readers.
Where we learn of a date that theoretically allows conclusions to be drawn about your person, such as the IP address, we have taken appropriate measures to ensure that a reference to your person is impossible by means of appropriate abbreviations.
This website uses Universal Analytics for web analysis. This is a service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Universal Analytics uses techniques that allow access to information that is already stored or will be stored in your device, including “cookies” (recognition technologies). The information obtained through the recognition technologies used about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide us with other services associated with website and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
If you do not want information about your visit to our website to be transmitted to Universal Analytics, you have the option of installing a “deactivation add-on” for your browser. You can download this add-on here. Please note, however, that this is currently only available for Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera.
In addition, we have made settings according to which Universal Analytics deletes the last part of the IP addresses of visitors to our website. This means that we also do not come into possession of data that allows us to draw conclusions about your person.
Without your express consent, we will not use the tracking tools to collect personal data about you unnoticed, to transmit such data to third-party providers and marketing platforms, or to link the data with your personal data (name, address, etc.).
Google Remarketing Service
These are services of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”). When you visit our websites or make a purchase, anonymized data about the products viewed or purchased is stored in cookies (“retargeting” cookies).
If IP addresses are used, they will be shortened so that it is not possible for us to draw conclusions about your person.
Your Protection Options
If you no longer wish to use this service for our products temporarily or generally, you can deactivate it accordingly. For example, follow this link to Google's advertising privacy policy (https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/) for further information. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of such cookies by many third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative (link to http://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and making the appropriate settings there.
You can also deactivate the use of cookies by Google by downloading and installing the plug-in provided there via the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de .

Google AdWords
As an AdWords customer, we use Google Conversion Tracking, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). Google AdWords uses a cookie on your computer (a "conversion cookie") if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify you. When you visit our pages, Google and we can recognize that a link in our ad has been followed. The data allows us to ascertain the total number of users who clicked on our ad.
Your protection options
Besides browser settings that generally deactivate the automatic placement of cookies, you can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com." Learn more about Google's privacy policy http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
Cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and save specific settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. This storage helps us to design the website accordingly for you and makes it easier for you to use, for example, by saving certain entries you have made so that you do not have to repeat them constantly. Cookies are automatically deleted from your hard drive after the end of the browser session (end of the session) (hence session cookies). However, there are also cookies that remain on your hard drive. The expiration time is set far in the future (several years) for your convenience. During a subsequent visit, it will then automatically be recognized that you have already been with us and which entries and settings you prefer (so-called long-term cookies).
Regardless of the duration set, you can also manually delete cookies in your browser. Most browsers accept cookies by default. In the security settings, you can allow or prohibit temporary and stored cookies independently of each other. Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting our online services. If you do not accept cookies or deactivate them, certain options on our site may not be available to you, and some websites may not be displayed correctly.
YouTube
This website uses videos and plug-ins from YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This is done using the "extended data protection mode" offered by YouTube. When you access one of our websites that has a YouTube video/plug-in and watch the video, a connection is established to the YouTube servers. This sends a notification to the YouTube server indicating which website you have visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube member account at the same time, the collected information will be assigned to your YouTube member account. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube member account before visiting our website.
Further information on data protection at YouTube and Google can be found under the following
link: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
If you are logged in to facebook.de (facebook.de, operated by Facebook Ireland Limited Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 Ireland – "Facebook") and visit our site, your browser will establish a connection with Facebook computers, and data related to your Facebook account will be integrated into our website via your browser. At the same time, Facebook receives information about your visit to our site and the content you have accessed (time and circumstance that you were there). If you activate the function of a social plug-in, e.g., by clicking on the "Like" button on Facebook, submitting comments, or using other functionalities offered by Facebook, the triggered information is transmitted to Facebook and stored there for further use in your Facebook account and processed in accordance with Facebook's policies. The exact content and purpose of the storage and processing result from your contractual relationship with Facebook Inc. There you can find further information and obtain information about the use and your rights. Facebook's privacy policy.
If you are not a member of Facebook or are logged out there, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and store your IP address. You can protect yourself by using blockers compatible with your browser, such as the Facebook Blocker.
Facebook Dynamic Ads
This website uses "Dynamic Ads" from the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94394, USA ("Facebook"). This enables us to present relevant advertisements to people on Facebook in the future based on the products that people have viewed on our website or in our app.
For this purpose, so-called "Facebook pixels" are integrated on our websites, which enable Facebook to identify visitors to our website across devices as a target group for the display of advertisements on Facebook, so-called "Facebook Ads." With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing and evaluating whether users are redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad.
The Facebook pixel is directly integrated by Facebook when our websites are accessed and can store a so-called cookie, i.e., a small file, on your device. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook when logged in, the visit to our website will be noted in your profile.
The data collected about you is anonymous to us, i.e., it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible. The processing of data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook's data usage policy. Accordingly, you will receive further information on how the remarketing pixel works and on the display of Facebook ads in general in Facebook's data usage policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
Your protection options
You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and the use of your data for the display of "Dynamics Facebook Ads." To do this, you can access the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions on the settings for usage-based advertising there: https://www.facebook.com/login.php? or declare the objection via the US page http://optout.aboutads.info/ or the EU page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. The settings are platform-independent, i.e., they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
